Car Seat Information

Marin Car Service is happy to use YOUR PROVIDED car seat to transport children. FREE of charge, we will hold onto to the car seat until we pick you up for the return trip. IF the car seat is only needed for a one way trip then a $10 charge to return the car seat to the original pick up location will be applied to the total fare.

Sorry but we DO NOT provide car seats.

We will provide service for you and your child with or without a car seat. We do not enforce the use of car seats, however be aware that the guardian is the one who will receive the ticket. See below for the law.

As of January 1, 2005, A parent or legal guardian, when present in a motor vehicle, as defined in Section 27315, may not permit his or her child or ward to be transported upon a highway in the motor vehicle without properly securing the child or ward in a rear seat in a child passenger restraint system meeting applicable federal motor vehicle safety standards, unless the child or ward is one of the following:
